House with charming garden Tholaria

Tholaria is a picturesque mountain village whit narrow alleys and traditional whitewashed houses. Surrounded by mountains with beautiful walking paths full or herbs and flowers. Here you get a unique opportunity to take part in the Greek village life. The locals still live mostly from traditional trades and they are well known for their hospitality. Just outside the village is Vigla, the acropolis of the ancient city of Aegiali.

The village has several kafenion and taverns where they serve food from local products in a very nice and friendly atmosphere. Tholaria is for instance known to have the best fava (yellow lentil puree) in Greece, this because the soil is full of minerals and many locals still do the whole procedure by hand.
